February 1st was Super Bowl Sunday! Not that I care about football in the least, but it was a great afternoon with our best friends, David & Corinna, and a bunch of their extended family members. We had a great time and consumed way too much food, but it was all really good!

At the very end of the month, our church had it's anual Women's Retreat, and as usual it was wonderful. We had a great speaker, good food and wonderful fellowship with our sisters in Christ. Cathy went with a group of her friends, and I went with a good friend of mine.

. . . . and this is my good friend and room mate, Laurie.

While all of the above sounds like very nice things, you may be thinking that with a title like Fantastic February, there ought to be something more, something else, something truly fantastic. Well, there is, but it didn't take place on any given day or hour. It was an accumulation of things that add up to answered prayer and a whole lot of praises. God is good!
This is not a recent picture of David & Corinna, but they really haven't changed a bit.

On February 13th, we celebrated our grand daughter's birthday (a little early) and had a wonderful time with family and friends.
Emma got a cool pink bean bag chair from her Mama & Daddy.

And she helped make her own birthday "pupcakes" that looked like mice.
And now she's five years old! Seems like only yesterday she was just a baby - our sweet little Emma Grace (or as her Papa likes to say, Emma de Gracie). She's still very sweet, but we sure wish she wouldn't grow up so fast.
Then Jim & I celebrated Valentine's day in one of our favorite restaurants, Olive Garden. We actually met on Valentine's day, for the very first time. So, now we've known each other for 39 years, and we've been married almost as long (a 7 month courtship, believe it or not).

Our waiter took very good care of us, and he told us that his parents actually got married on Valentine's day. We had a wonderful time, and of course, great food!

On the next day we had the pleasure of enjoying our youngest grandson, Lincoln, for the entire Sunday afternoon. It was just us and him, playing and having alot of fun. He's such an agreeable picture poser, and there's no end to the antics he'll perform for us. What a cutie!

Allow me to refer you back to Adventure #1, which was posted on January 10th. After you've read that (or refreshed your memory), you'll understand how exciting this next part is. Our drastically reduced income over the past month and a half, has been supplied in a variety of truly miraculous ways. First . . . . we received two checks, from two very different sources, for two very different reasons, neither one of which knew about the other or had anything to do with our current circumstances. Those two checks added up to more than what we needed to meet our deficit for the rest of January and all of February. Secondly . . . . during the month of February, I got more calls to substitute for the school district than I have since I started back in August of 2008. That paycheck will cover our deficit for the month of March! Third . . . . our tax refund should take care of April, and we have no doubt whatsoever, that God is behind each and every one of these wonderful blessings. Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us.
So I proclaim it in a loud voice (imagine hearing me if you can), Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who is worthy to be praised!!! Hallelujah!!! Praise the Lord!!!
